Perfume Cartoning Machine Goes to De Xandra in Malaysia

ÉLITER Packaging Machinery finished a project with De Xandra to pack their perfume bottles into cartons of complex structures with interior securing tabs.

Perfume Cartoner for the Most Special Carton Styles

To load into cartons with an interior securing tab and in a neck-through pattern the air freshener in perfume bottles by De Xandra, a famous cosmetics and fragrance brand in Malaysia, we did some customization with our horizontal end-load cartoner and joined it with some pneumatic units to handle the extra panels and flaps.

This would be the most challenging and complex task on any cartoning machine by whichever manufacturer in the world.

For this project with De Xandra,

bottles are required to be loaded into the carton boxes with the bottleneck reaching throughout the closure panel where there is an opening to secure the bottle.

Further, there is a secure tab to be folded into the carton boxes to serve as the base to support the bottle’s bottom. The flaps and tucks are then folded and closed to complete the closure.

To view this process briefly, there are two challenges:

• one for the precise loading so that bottles are inserted and remained in a neck-through patter
• another is the folding in securing tab into the interior part of the carton boxes

Both of these two tasks were managed on our traditional horizontal end-load cartoning machine with the support of several pneumatic units and a specially designed tuck-in station.
