ANGIOPHARM Truts in the Cartoning Machine by ÉLITER Packaging Machinery
¨Go beyond Tuck-in and Adhesive¨
Angiopharm (Ангиофарм) is a Russian manufacturer in the field of skin care cosmetics, located in Koltsovo, Novosibirsk, assigned a project with ÉLITER Packaging Machinery to pack skincare regenerating gel in tubes and repair cream in bottles into carton boxes with tongue lock, the unique carton style that few packaging machine manufacturers out there are able to get covered.
This is a further milestone of our achievement and innovations in cartoning automation solutions, driven by our mindset of “go beyond tuck-in and adhesive”.
One Machine for Two Products in Unique-Style Carton
It is not rare that a customer asks for covering several products, in different primary packaging, with a single set of cartoner.
Here with this project, the consensus was made as follows in terms of how to handle the infeed options:
- For bottles of skin repair cream – we should incorporate a bottle unscrambler to automatically feed bottles to the cartoning machine.
- Tubes of skincare regenerating gel – are placed on the cartoner’s bucket conveyor manually
Tongue Lock – the Challenge of Unique Carton Style
Carton boxes with tongue locks are in fact a safer and more secure carton style than those general carton boxes with tuck-in closures. The reasons are:
- Tongue locks are with a smaller area of contact, thus with less surface-to-exterior abuse handling
- Tongue locks are less vulnerable to being reverted from closure
As the advantages of tongue lock boxes though, they are in turn the disadvantages and difficulty for a cartoning machine to handle the automation. However, for ÉLITER Packaging Machinery, it is not a challenge.
